Just a reminder that Microsoft is still releases updates for SP 2007. No really. I have a feeling there are a lot of farms out there that have nothing beyond SP2 installed.

Although SP2 was released on 7/29/2009, it contains only the cumulative updates through February, 2009. There have been multiple Cumulative Updates since then, the latest being June 2010. I haven't found a solid list of all of them, but you can check technet for a link to the most recent: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/office/ee748587.aspx

I mention it because my prod environment was recently down for an afternoon with a weird bug that it turns out was fixed back in the April 2009 CU. In looking at the CU, I found it also fixed a Content Query Web Part bug related to target audiencing that I remembered creating a work around for oh so many years ago.
